Polish, Mexican and Finnish artists for the International Festival of Choirs in Derry

Finnish a cappella sensation Rajaton will perform on Friday, October 21 at the Millennium Forum. They will be performing in Derry for the first time, showcasing a mix of musical styles, ranging from pop to jazz to classical music.

On Thursday, October 20, the festival announced that the world-class Polish Radio Choir will perform at the Guildhall. This choral ensemble will present a unique concert of contemporary compositions by some of Poland’s most renowned composers, set to the poetry of some of Poland’s most influential and revered Romantics, in this “Year of Polish Romanticism”.

Award-winning and internationally acclaimed chamber choir Codetta from Derry will return to the festival for an evening performance of Duruflé’s Requiem on Friday 21 October. Codetta will be joined by members of the Opera Studio Beckmann (Mexico) for an evening of choral music in St. Eugene’s Cathedral, under the direction of the Festival’s artistic director, Dónal Doherty.
